Cheap Online Degrees – The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Cheap online degrees are one way to advance your education. Many people have said that the only thing that can be given and not taken from us is our knowledge which is why education is very important. Knowing how to read and write are not enough, we need to have knowledge in order for us to be successful.
That is why parents are working hard just to send their children to school. But that does not mean that if you have not been to college or university you’re stupid. There are some very intelligent people who were not given the opportunity to go to school due to their financial situations.
However, in the end many still become successful. Studying does not only have to be done in school. Many of those that can’t afford it strive to study on their own. Children might not initially know how important education is in their life but sooner or later they’ll realize as they grow up that it is vital for success.
Now that we are in the computer age, some schools are now offering online courses and programs for people who want to pursue and finished their degree but cannot because of work or other commitments.
Beware though there are also schools that claim to offer life experience degrees; they are called cheap online degrees you can apply for. They are fake! Red flags include claims of one or more of the following: no need for books, admissions tests, semester fees and the claim that you can have a degree in any major field you like based on life experience.
More importantly if an online school is willing to give you a degree based solely on the following run the other way:
- Life experience.
- Volunteer of community activities.
- Any kind of working experience or training in any field.
- Personal achievements and hobbies.
- And participation in organizations.
Based on these criteria they will give you a degree. But the secret is everyone qualifies so the degree is totally and utterly worthless. For your online college degree to be worth anything it has to come from an accredited institution. Check your state’s department of education before enrolling in any program to make sure it is recognized and accredited as being legitimate.
Once you have established that the school you wish to enroll in is legitimate and accredited then you can proceed with your cheap online degree. However, learning is not enough; you have to practice what you have learned from school.
There are people that are intelligent but do not know how to use it, and so they become useless. Everyday you’ll discover and learn new things in both school and life it’s up to you how to use that knowledge for you to succeed. But it might just start with a cheap online degree program.

You’ve written your college application essay, shown it to parents, friends, teachers, even that neighbor down the block who once worked on the television show, Full House. Everyone’s signed off, told you it’s great. And yet, you wonder, are there any ways I can still improve it? Here are five of them.
1. Read the essay out loud.
This technique is extremely valuable and yet, unfortunately, often ignored. But reading the essay aloud will usually reveal flaws that you tend to overlook on the 400th time you’ve read it to yourself. Another variation here: Get someone else to read it to you and take notes as they do.
2. Punch up your opening
Shorten, tighten, do anything you can to get the reader asking a question that he or she knows will be answered in the body of the essay. Use strong, provocative statements, interesting quotes (real or imagined), crazy statistics, whatever works to pull the reader into your essay. The opening of your essay is like the springboard that gymnasts use in the vaulting event. If you hit it just right, it can carry you to the gold.
3. Change words that are repeated too often.
In tutoring students on their college application essays, I am often amazed how many times a student will use the same word, even within the same sentence. This lack of variety gives the essay a dullness that can be easily overcome by carefully identifying those words and substituting others. Use your naked eye or the Find command in MS Word, and once you locate the repeated words, replace them with a lively, vivid synonym.
4. Be sure your sentence structure is varied.
This is basic but again, often ignored. As you read through your essay, carefully note the sentence structure of each consecutive sentence, and make sure that you vary that structure from sentence to sentence.
5. Be aware of digressions
To guarantee that the meaning of your essay is clear, eliminate any point or information that doesn’t support your main theme, even if it is interesting on its own. As the essay evolves, statements that fit into the first draft will often be out of place on the fifth. Make sure that you haven’t held onto any of those statements, simply because you’re used to them or they sound good. Be ruthless!
The difference between a good essay and a truly terrific one is often how hard the writer wants to work at it. Maximize the potential of your essay, and your chances for admission, by employing these five techniques to every essay you write.

It is important for students to realize that their education is their financial responsibility, as well as their parents. Students should be working part-time while in school, and work-study is usually a part of any offered financial aid package. While some students may balk at the intrusion into their social calendar that working may cause, all working students benefit from having to manage their work, study, and social times wisely and efficiently. During the summer months, all students should work as much as possible in order to save for the coming school year; families may even consider taking a year off from school to save money. An innovative way to spend a year off is to work for VISTA or Americorps, as these government-sponsored volunteer programs provide a school stipend of between four and five thousand dollars after a year of service. Some institutions will even match that stipend with a grant once the student begins study. Fill out a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
Filling out a FAFSA is actually one of the first steps students should do once they have decided to attend college, even if they are not sure they are eligible for financial aid. The FAFSA provides all of the information that any school will need in order to determine how much aid the student qualifies for, dependent and independent students alike. Besides determining eligibility for Pell Grants and other grants provided by the university, the FAFSA will allow the student to obtain Stafford Loans, which are federal loans that have excellent interest rates. Using the family’s tax information, the FAFSA will allow the family to decide if they are going to add any parental debt in order to pay for the student’s education, as well. Many university-based scholarships and grants are available for students, and eligibility is based on information provided in students’ FAFSA. Private Sources of Financial Aid
Having a conversation with the university’s financial aid office will give the family additional information about existing private sources of educational funding, like Sallie Mae or other private lending services. Some of these lenders have very good interest rates, but families will have to be careful to borrow only what they need to cover any funding gaps, for students risk leaving school with substantial debt they may be able to avoid by simply borrowing less money. Private scholarships are also available for students who qualify based on grades, civic membership, or other stipulations.
College can indeed be a financial challenge for families, but it is a challenge well worth the effort. According the U.S. Census Bureau, college grads earn, on average, a million dollars more over their lifetime than high school grads. When faced with that financial reality, families should be willing to do whatever it takes to find a way to make sure that all students who want to attend college have a way to do just that.
